Heart of the Desert Salted & Roasted Pistachios has been our best-selling product for over 50 years. This is the traditional way to enjoy pistachios, but ours are more flavorful than others because we roast our nuts in batches throughout the year, so you always get a fresh product. We lightly salt these, allowing the natural flavor of the pistachio to still shine through. If you want them even saltier, suck on the shell before you crack the pistachio open.
Choose from resealable plastic or classic burlap packaging. Available in ½ lb, 1lb, 2 lb, and 5 lb sizes, as well as 20 lb bulk.

Nutritional Value: Pistachios are one of the most nutritious nuts on earth. They are nutrient-dense and contain all nine essential amino acids (EAAs), qualifying them as a complete protein. They’re naturally gluten and cholesterol free, contain very little saturated fats and no trans fats, and are an excellent source of fiber and complex carbohydrate energy. There is more potassium and iron, by weight, in pistachios than in any other nut, fruit, or vegetable.
One ounce of shelled pistachios contains approximately 10% of an adult's daily recommended protein intake, without any animal fats.
Storage of Pistachios: We recommend keeping your pistachios in the refrigerator or freezer in a sealed container. Kept in the refrigerator, pistachios will stay fresh for one year. In the freezer, they will stay fresh for two years.
The pistachios are fresh and crunchy. The salted pistachios
are just right not too much salt. I recently had the opportunity to shop in the store. The selection is terrific and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Came across these pistachios in NM when growing up there and even since moving away my mom has gifted me a 2lb bag of pistachios every Christmas since. Its become a bit of a tradition! Hands down best pistachios youll find.

I had 4 days to kill w/ a coworker in EL Paso, we got in a car & headed to White Sands National Park, over to Holloman AFB, toured about that area of the country. Saw a road side place, selling pistachios... pull over here, got a 5lb bag, back on the road. We had to stop by again on the way back to El Paso. Best pistachios Id ever eaten.... fast forward..

I have ordered pistachios from Heart of the Desert for several years as Christmas presents for my sons. Both sons say my gift of 5 pound bags of Heart of the Desert pistachios is their favorite Christmas gift.
These are EXCELLENT NUTS! First batch was slightly salty for my personal taste, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Luckily salt is easily rinsed if desired and preserves nuts while in storage & transit. Ordering my second 20 lbs now! Great for dividing up into 1lb bagged economy Christmas gifts!

A dear friend gave us some for Christmas, and we liked them so much we have ordered more for ourselves and other friends. Looked up pistachios and found they are actually seeds, not nuts. Also found that they are healthful. You will enjoy them so much.
These pistachios are fresh, flavorful, and lightly salted. We love them and they go very well with a glass of wine. There is a huge difference between these fresh ones and the ones you get in any store.
Stopped by here on our way from Tucson to Shawnee, KS. Not only are these the best pistachios Ive ever had but the crafted metal works and other NM items are beautiful! The staff are friendly, helpful, and 1st rate! We will being stopping here every time we drive to Tucson!
I have purchased pistachios from various vendors and these are by far the best. They are easy to open and very tasty. Well worth the price. I would never buy from anywhere else.
These a the best pistachios I have ever had , got a sample from a fried who went to new Mexico and came back with some. Order some the same day I tried them ... try some you wont be disappointed.....
I had never had pistachios before we visited Heart of the Desert. I am hooked on the roasted and salted both in the shell and the kernels. They are big, meaty, and salted just right. They are a great value for the price and the ladies who work there make shopping extra enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Heart of the Desert Salted & Roasted Pistachios are the freshest, most delicious everyday pistachios I have ever had, including those from California, Greece, Turkey, anywhere. I have sent bags of them as gifts. And I have rationed my own stash into snack bags and shared them with numerous friends and co-workers. Everyone says they are delicious. Even those who initially think they are a bit salty say they are delicious and cannot stop eating them ... or asking for them. So, here I am online again, ordering another 5 lb bag!

I waited until I returned to VA to open the burlap bag and try a few. And then I tried some more. And then I tried some more. They are the freshest, crunchiest and best tasting pistachios I have ever eaten. So, here I am, with the original bag now empty, ordering an even larger bag.
These are the only pistachios we buy now. We have tried the store bought version but they are stale and tasteless compared to these. They are more expensive but very worth it! Not only that, they are heart healthy and the best snack, especially for our little grandsons.
